Meet the author
Nadia Samar lives with her husband in Los Angeles, California where she hosts the Neverland Book Club on YouTube.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology and has since worked in one of the top IVF clinics in Southern California as an Embryologist.
Her passions include classical music, literature, fine cinema, and the filthiest smut she can find.
Nevertheless, Nadia enjoys reading all genres, for why limit such possibilities? Every story is an exit from this world, a gate to another. To build a portal from which others can escape… Well, that feels like something to keep writing about. Nadia encourages her fellow readers to stay lost, and keep reading.
Why we write
Writing has presented itself over the years, like a chronic condition that needs constant tending to. Our days are filled with stories that deserve being told. Whether the day features adventure or not. And what an injustice it would be to stay silent.
I've been told my writing makes one feel like they've stepped foot in a dream. That can be interpreted as both good and bad. Because though it might be wonderful to lose yourself in a dream, you don't want to remain lost by the end of the page.
Inspirations
My sister is a poet. During most of my childhood she’d drag me to poetry shows where I’d watch her perform works of art onstage. It’s safe to say she introduced me to the unmatched thrill of writing something you can’t wait to share. Whether it be poetry on a stage or a novel in the hands of an introverted reader.
Music is my biggest influence when it comes to brainstorming scenes and concepts.
Composers such as Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, and Mozart can be heard whenever I’m deep in a writing session.
As for modern artists, Hozier is a voice that I hear frequently when finding myself engrossed in a new book idea.
